Hi folks, a quick legal question for you all. If one has just come to the end of an existing 18 month mobile phone contract and you agree to sign up for a further 18 months via a telesales operator at a lower monthly rental with a new phone but the same number, do you still have your right to cancel? If so, how long does one have? Cheers, WaB.

7 days under the Distance Selling Regs, however, this does not apply if you start the service immediately, in which case you have no right to cancel.

The operator said she's transfer me straight over to the new contract and I've since used my existing phone (not received my new one yet). Does that mean I've lost my right to cancel? Cheers!
I would read the terms and conditions of the contract.
