If you are selling a car on to another person, is there a legal obligation or requirement to disclose the information that it has been involved in an accident?

It really depends on how bad the damage was, if you broke a light while parking would a seller really want or need to know?
The best policy is honesty, so if the car was badly damaged, then just say so and tell the buyer it is repaired to standard as a prudent buyer can check if the vehicle has been subject to an insurance claim anyway.
(You will be breaking the law if the seller asks specifically about any accidents and you say no)
Does that help?
