I've noticed in the last year or so that certain pubs (especially the type that thinks itself a bit better than the average) charge more for two haves than for a Pint,,for example 1.60 for a half and 3.00 per pint ,thereby "sneaking", an extra 20pence profit out of the same pint. To me this is blatant exploitation .Is it legal and if not what can the public do about it??

Buy a pint and share it with a mate.
The pub will argue it is more effort, and more cost to serve 2 glasses than one, the cost of two glasses, the cost of washing two glasses up means that they charge more to cover it.

Bigger amounts of everything tend to be cheaper.
Loads of products cost you more if you buy a lesser quantity... for example, fags.
It has always been that way. It is perfectly legal and the prices should be clearly displayed in the bar area.

Beer isn't the only thing - two small loaves cost more than a large one; two boxes of 6 eggs cost more than one box of 12....
