can anyone tell me whether this sort of post on a website is breaking any laws in particular, and is there any particular authority I should report it to?

yes there are, the police could go and ask legend in tenerife who his mate knobby is and where he lives, and if legend refused he would be interfering with the police in their enquiries. and as i know legend's name they will be able to find fhim of course.

death threats aren't legal, it doesn't matter whether they're on message boards or not. And Dot isn't anonymous. First step would be to approach AB Editor but as we know he's frightfully tied up in AB 2.0, which will host bigger and better threats.

Reporting this sort of threat to the police does initiate enquiries to the website concerned, and it is taken seriously, the same way abusive texts are always followed up, mainly because the psychotic behavior of people in the past has led to more serious crimes committed on a person.

Thanks for your concern OJread, i have always used my name on this site and i will not be 'becoming anonymous', many people on here use their real names, I suggest you direct your criticism towards the people who abuse the site and not people like myself.
