LIVING TOGETHER ???

Hi All
My mate has recently met a woman who is on housing benefit and the allowance you get when you can only work part time due to young children. He owns his own home is employed and pays council tax. How many nights a month can he stay with his girlfriend without her benefit being effected.

Wow what a mine field, esecially when you read the likes of these two statements........Even if one or both of the two people own or rent other accommodation, they can still
be thought of as members of the same household, particularly where the other
accommodation is seldom used.........................A person cannot be a member of more than one household at the same time. So a
person cannot be a member of more than one couple1 at the same time. which are both on the same page i guess they better seek legal advice.

or just ring up the housing benefits and ask how much it would be reduced by. cheaper than getting legal advice
