I Wonder Why This Number Is Rising So...

"He'll boost economic growth by slashing corporate taxes, red tape and government spending.
Which is the exact opposite of what Labour is plotting under Keir Starmer.
Instead of talking up the UK economy, Starmer has talked it down at every opportunity. He's destroyed business confidence by warning things will get worse."
"UK energy secretary Ed Miliband is blocking new North Sea oil exploration licences and throwing money at unproven green tech such as carbon capture and storage.
The US economy will soon be running red hot, while the UK will be taking a cold bath."
Oh dear Labour!

I've already seen reports about the negative affect they will have on American consumers. Everything from fresh produce from Mexico to parts used in industry may become unaffordable. Inflation up and household income down...particularly those on very low incomes. He may be good for investors, but not the middle class.
Trump is a complete idiot – and people think having an idiot in charge will improve things.
Here is a sour-grapes American pointing out what they have voted for; if you think American citizens will take up low paid agricultural jobs (currently done by migrants) at less than minimum wage, you are dreaming – just look what Brexit did to those jobs in the UK.
You have no idea what's going on really do you. The American economy is currently the envy of the world, despite Trump doing nothing but slabbing off his own country for the last four years.
Anything he does can only make it worse, especially ridiculous tariffs on imports that American businesses will have to pay.
"if you think American citizens will take up low paid agricultural jobs (currently done by migrants) at less than minimum wage, you are dreaming..."
They will if they are not paid to sit at home. Lack of cash concentrates the mind.
The same happens here and to run a country that relies on cheap immigrant labour is very unwise. It drives down wages and living standards for everybody. No businesses should become addicted to cheap labour especially, as in the UK, low pay is topped up by taxpayers.
"if you think American citizens will take up low paid agricultural jobs (currently done by migrants) at less than minimum wage, you are dreaming..."
2 things:
1) as the judge says being boracic tends to contentrate the mind so if they get less or no welfare those jobs will start to look a bit more attractive.
2) Supply and demand, if there are jobs with no one doing them, guess what? Wages will increase until there is someone doing them.
The left always seem to struggle with these basic truths.
