Is it true that voting will be much fairer tonight? That the countries vote like us-not a panel anymore. I hope its true, and if so maybe we have a chance again-blue's song is ok-not as bad as some on here have said, and they have fan base in Europe. Also jedward-they are what Europe like- I am predicting on here, that IF the vote system is like UK, then both us and ireland will be in top 10-one in top 5

France will win but we'll be lucky to get in the top 20...I reckon we'll give Jedward 12 points because we have a sense of humour...I doubt the Irish will recipriocate it though!
Think the old pals act will still count as usual with the majority of the nations taking part.
It's all a bit of fun,always enjoy it :-)

Well - hour+ into it-blue on right now-they sound worse than they did on Loose women, so guess mightyWBA is closer than me-only caught end of Jedward,didn't get that good a response did they-some dire ones also-how do they get on there??

Watching it on delayed time so I can fast forward the dross. Didn't like French entry. I'm voting Jedward, for being so daft! How come Graham Norton is so into the UK entry, being that he's Irish, same as Terry Wogan always was?

I might be doing him a disservice but I'm sure that Terry Wogan used to have a bottle of the cratur in front of him whilst commenting, because the longer the show went on the more outrageous were his remarks and giggling.

The Russian entry was very catchy - a boy band. Don't know if France is Eurovision material. Just seen that the Icelandic singer died at 36 before he could take part so his friends are singing it for him - must get the sympathy vote!

Aberbijan 1st, ok, Italy 2nd (graham upset wasn't Sweden),Jedward made top 10,Uk not far behind them-thank God we beat Moldova-but not by many-they were horrible lol

The voting system was changed a couple of years back, to lower the influence of the tele-voting, because obviously what tends to happen with tele-voting is, people abroad vote for their own countries. that is why Turkey got lots of votes from Germany, Armenia from Belgium, Russia from Latvia, etc etc etc.
So it has actually reverted to a partial panel system, which ought to be fairer, and that is born out by the results.
It hasn't stopped the Daily Mail banging on about "geo-politcal" voting and an "East-European stitch up. Sad.
Eurovision might bring out the worst in music, according to some, but it also brings out the *** in the British media,.
