Just saw him on This Morning and what an inspirational man he is. It's taken him 7 weeks to do the marathon to raise money for Children with Leukaemia. The fact that he needs money to help with speech therapy and yet chooses to do the marathon for some other charity shows what a lovely, altruistic person he is. He has kept his looks over the years and doesn't look aged at all despite what he's gone through! I still remember him from my younger days!
He may have foolishly daredevilled himself into an unfortunate state, but you have to admire his determination in such things as the marathion. Good for him, that was an example to all.
It was a fab interview I thought, how selfless to think he raised £91,000 for children with cancer while he and his wife are struggling to make ends meet and can't afford a speech therapist for him.
He is the type of person who, if he were in Afganistan would be a hero, not that he isn`t already, but he makes many yobbo`s of to-day see what a real man can do, instead of robbing old people who fought for our country in the past.
