When this ad 1st came on, in fact for quite a while, numerous people, including myself, found it weird that they said, 'since the games started, over 100 yrs ago'. Everyone knows it was a heck of a lot longer than that, so it was a bit annoying each time it came on. For the past week however, I have noticed that they have sarted saying 'since the MODERN olympics started'. Was this just a word I missed, or have they realised how uninformed they sounded and someone clever has sneakily added this one crucial word? Did anyone notice?

Personally I'd suggest someone told them they sounded arrogant rather than ill-informed.
But yes, I did notice the added word.
Maybe also something to do with the false advertising rule too.
