New Always ad

just seen it after Hollyoaks.  There's a guy dancing with a bunch of other people in a hut on a gorgeous beach, he comes and dances beside a disinterested looking girl and she holds up a pack of Always then he moves away.  Voiceover says 'periods are great!'. 

What the hell is it about?  Periods are great because...they scare away sleazy guys...it means you can't have sex...what?  I'm kinda confused ^_^

'men are scared of girly things like sanitary towels'
(stereotype i know but it is true for many men...)
or
'you can't have sex with me tonight so don't even bother trying cos I know that's all you're interested in so if i let you know now you won't be wasting your time'

hehe, I must have a very macho boyfriend.  he's fully prepared to pick up some tampons for me at the shops ^_^

I know it's b*****ks isn't it. waving a pack of towels at some sleaze bag is scant compensation for 12 weeks of bleeding a year... and besides who takes the whole pack out in their handbag?

on the same matter: in halls at uni one of my (male) friends didn't use the kitchen for a month when the girls on the corridor taped a tampon onto the door by its string...

I hate all adverts for sanitary products, I find them so patronising and some of them are unnecessarily descriptive/graphic. I'm sure most guys past the age of 17 or 18 aren't desperately embarassed by periods.  At the tender age of 18 when at uni, we were always getting the guys we shared with to go out and buy our tampons and they didn't mind in the slightest.

hehe well i think that people who made that advert tried to say that it doesnt matter u have period cuz here is always and they are blablabla great, and blablabla and they are so thin u dont even know u have them. blablabla
