Festival of Remembrance

Just home from Dundee's Festival of Remembrance. Very large crowd for a very moving event. Always say I won't blubber but when the WW2 veterans (getting fewer) and the serving soldiers from Afghanistan march in, all my good intentions disappear. Going to have a strong drink!

I'll be honest, I've not actually heard of that... but I live down South.
I can imagine it would be very moving, though. Would definitely need to have the hankies at the ready!

Trish and I always try to get down to the local war memorial for the Remembrance Day ceremony and I'm not ashamed to admit that the Last Post always brings a tear to my eye and I don't think I'm the only one.
