I love this film as an evocation of a time gone by in Eastend London. Does anyone else think that this is one of the best British films and why?

Googie Withers really conveys a sense of desperation ,her fear of being found out ,but her desire to help the man she obviously still loves and who we eventually find out doesn't remember their shared past as well as she does. A couple of nice sub plots as well. You're right Foxglove a great evocation of a time gone by and missed.
