When he opened the txt he said oh it's just phil from work :-s so I said no it wasnt I saw who it was why did u lie? He said he wasn't lieing and made me question myself on what I saw! after an hour he told me he lied to save me from gettin hurt about a girl txting him! iv never ever not trusted him as we have the best relationship ever! So I don't understand if he has nothing to hide why he thought I'd be upset? anyone eles think this??

oh dear.......that would be a deal breaker for me.
hrmm I would find his behaviour iffy, has he ever done this before?
Hmmm...makes you wonder what the contents of the message was.

I wouldn't be impressed about being lied to and would want to know more. It could be harmless though, I'd probably ask why he hought I would be peeved.
He's either seeing this girl or would like to be seeing her, if the text was innocent then why did he feel the need to lie about who it was from?

He has never done anything like this before as far as I no!! But now I'm sat wondering everytimr he's has txts in the past and said it's a mate or his dad was he lieing! Usually he can't do enough for me, he runs around after me n my daughter he adores her! I get flowers once a month, if iv had a stressful day at work he cooks and doesn't let me in the kitchen! so I keep thinking maybe it was just to stop me worrying but then I think why would I worry? Surly if there is nothing to hide there I'd nothing to lie about? he cried for hours after admitting it but is that just a feel sorry for me? I still never saw the contents of this message
the crying for hours seems suss if he is genuine, why would he cry for hours? guilt?
Cried for hours? Are you serious?
The best relationship ever - hmm, you might want to re-phrase that, he lied to you plain and simple...not sure why he felt the need to do so, this is something you need to ask him. Men are boys and often dont realise their actions as they dont see situations as we do.
He has probably deleted it by now. To be honest I think I would find it a bit odd. Why would he need to lie about it if there was nothing to worry about in the first place?

He cried cus he knows how much I hate lieing for my past relationship and I kept avoiding him and leaving the room when he tried talking to me cus I need to think, so I thought he'd messed things up
People who are up to no good tend to not leave their phones unattended.
did he say why " he cried for hours " ?
......or have 2 phones
Ha ha Joe...but wouldn't she be texting the secret phone if he had something to hide??
very true ummm!
