So Im gonna get a letter from taxman telling me where my tax has went .Something like ..Dear Weecalf the 2 and half thousand quid went £4 health .£3 roads £2.50 schools and we are not allowed to tell you any more .Keep sending the money your ect ect

My OH thinks they are doing this so that people start dobbing in benefit cheats, if people realise exactly how much they are paying for certain things then they may react differently.

This is of course so that when they decide to cuts in welfare you will go "look at how mauch we are spending" remember that 1/3 of welfare is pensions

Will it not cost a fortune to do this .What I pay in tax on my wages is only about 15% of what I really pay in tax overall what about the rest will they tell me about that also.

Quite true weecalf, what about the ever increasing tax on fuel and also VAT, they should tell us what they do with that as well, or do they and I haven't noticed.

I agree weecalf a statement that show the tax on fuel (all fuel) obviously it couldn't show your spend but it could say for every litre of = petrol 72p tax 28p vat etc Pint of Beer £1.49p etc.

Wonder if they'll tell us how much is paid to subsidise the alcohol and food in the Houses of Parliament
