the new talent show, did anyone watch it? I actually thought it would be different from the so called other talent shows, but it's the same old format.

and i didn't hear or see one person i thought was particularly good, special, any thoughts if you watched it.
I thought the singers were good, but shan't watch it again, got boring!

netbiza, nor me, i can't see the sense in saying it is different from BGT, Pop Idol etc, all the judges are doing is listening for a short time before turning around to see the contestants. the audience whooping and hollering before the singer has uttered a word is an annoyance. Won't be watching again.
i thought yet again they all had a sob story to share with the audience!
I didn't watch it - we really dont need an other talent(less) show on the TV
My TV was on for Casualty and set to turn over so was on BGT. Glad I had it on cos the act on last was the TV Highlight of the week IMO

The 'enter you tube link here' box isn't working
I didn't watch it. I think programmes like this have run their course - and I always detested the sob stories.

it was put out as a show that wouldn't have all the same guff you get with BGT, the sob stories, the hand and heart wringing tales of woe, and the first contestant did just that.
naomi, all have run their course, and as said won't be watching again. There are loads of really good singers out there, but i didn't hear anyone special. only when i turned over momentarily to watch a snippet of BGT that i witnessed something magical, the young choir Only boys Aloud from Wales, who confirmed that to sing you have to have a good clear in tune voice, not some amped up screeching which passes for lots of pop music these days.
I recorded it & only watched about 15 mins as I didn like it all. I cried my eyes out when Only boys aloud sang Calon Lan. I bet they`ll be as succesful as Only men aloud as they have the same MD.
Only Boys aloud. Now that is what I call singing when you get a lump in your throat listening to them. Watched a bit of The Voice got bored with it.
Sorry I didn't rate any of them.
It wasn't as good as I expected it to be, the audience shouting and cheering during the blind auditions was distracting and surely the judges could be influenced by the the reactions. The acts were chosen I thought it was open to anyone. I have been watching the Irish version The Voice of Ireland and it is more superior great talent and good judges who are more concerned about the acts than themselves.

Mary i thought that the egos of the judges got in the way, and will continue to do so, after all you can't get much bigger than Tom Jones, he would do well to rein it in a bit.
Agree em the judges egos have taken over most of the talent shows now, its all about them how they look who can dress better than the next one etc, it is becoming a forum for the judges now.

I will continue to look out for the excellent Only Boys Aloud, they are a credit to their mentor and choirmaster. I did shed a tear when they sang so beautifully, i loved it when simon thought it was just the two boys, then the rest piled out, and sang their hearts out, so well done them.
it was supposed to prove that the voice and not the image was more important, but in some cases you can tell that ...
I like watching BGT and X Factor when you see the original auditions, then when the best ones get through, it gets boring. The Voice will go right down the pan. Very annoying. On saying that, the only judge I can watch on BGT is Simon, but its a better programme than The Voice. (Which is just a BBC copy, after all, trying to make a buck on the back of X Factor).
I disliked 'The Voice' as the judges seemed to be simply playing against each other as far as 'you push your button and I'll push mine'.

Maybe a screen between each of them ?

Also how did such diverse acts all seem to appeal to 2 or 3 judges when the acts style was so different from what you might expect the judge to be looking for.
