I am quite a sport loving person (except boxing) but I am having trouble getting excited about it.

I'm sure I will when it begins but it may as well be thousands of miles away rather than in this country.

Anybody feel excited yet?

Got fed up hearing about it almost a year ago.
Noooooooooooo, I'll have the first flight anywhere away from the whole sorry scene. Thank You!!! ♂ ☺
If I thought about it I could hardly stop yawning with excitement
Nope. It's an obscene amount of money to lay out on a sports day. Just another international willie-wagging fest with the usual slimeballs smarming around tha place gladhanding and planning their next junket.
Sport is secondary.
I have to admit the logo did get me a bit giddy when I first saw it but hey... that's just me. com'on team GB. (oh the enthusiasm)
I may get excited after Wimbledon..............

I getting underwhelmed with the not so positive feedback. ha

I feel the same and there's so much happening at the moment, I'm kinda not bothered.

Wonder if that's the same countrywide and it's only the media and celebrities keeping the hype going?
It's years since I got exited about anything.
I was happy (once).
In the words of Douglas Adams

Why stop now just when I'm hating it?

He could have been writing about the Olympics.. I won't enjoy it.
Will they put it on tv every hour of the day and night and take off our beloved soaps?

Marvin: This will all end in tears. AND taxes!!!!
What a shame we're always so damned negative about everything in this country. I'm exited - there I've said it!

The Olympic Torch is being run past our hotel when we're on holiday, past my office the following month when I'm back to work and through our village the following day, so I'll get to see it three times. Just as well I'm exited about it really!

I will watch The Games and the Ceremonies on TV, and am lucky enough to have tickets to one event in the very cheap seats. We have the train tickets booked and intend to make a day of it looking round the whole site and watching some neighbouring events on the big screen.

But I'm just as happy for you all to stay away, it'll be crowded enough as it is!
