George Galloway on Question Time.
39 Answers
Watching the BBC's question Time last night it made me cringe to see the panel members kowtowing to Far-Left George Galloway, by congratulating him on his recent poll victory, and also stating that it was true democracy at work.
I wonder if a Far-Right politician had made a similar 'out of the blue' victory, they would have been so keen to congratulate him and at the same time praise democracy?

Can't get much further 'Left' than this.
/// "I am on the anti-imperialist left." The Stalinist left? "I wouldn't define it that way because of the pejoratives loaded around it; that would be making a rod for your own back. If you are asking did I support the Soviet Union, yes I did. Yes, I did support the Soviet Union, and I think the disappearance of the Soviet Union is the biggest catastrophe of my life. If there was a Soviet Union today, we would not be having this conversation about plunging into a new war in the Middle East, and the US would not be rampaging around the globe." ///
He was also a firm supporter of Saddam Hussein.

LOL. No one wants him in their corner :) He's not what someone on the left would identify with these day. And, for the record, I tend to consider myself somewhere between liberals and conservatives (so a sort of centre-right) - and no, he can't stay here either!

I appreciate your problem Ed. they are forever moving the 'political spectrum' goal posts, so much so that one doesn't know one's politics from one day to another. :0)
