i know there are some on here who are following this programme.
I will either buy the DVD, or hope that they repeat it. Very good some of the bits i have watched. is it Brody that's the mole, an Al Quaeda operative, because after going to that store and trying on the Vest, can only surmise it is.

the piecing together of Carrie's work last night, would be senseless actions if he (Saul) was the mole.
He had to piece it together in order to see that in her manic episode she'd managed to work out the whole thing without even realising it herself.
He then organised for her to be silenced before she finally clicked that he was implicated as well...probably.

Because she said something like 'go purple', and it then occurred to him that all those papers had different coloured writing and squiggles on them, so he separated them all into their groups and realised she'd hit on the answer but still wasn't aware of his complicity - and he needed to silence her before she got back to the papers and figured out the final piece of the jigsaw - him ........at least I think that's what Ludwig means.... probably. Ludwig?
i see that, perhaps the last part will give the answer. Although i haven't seen much of the programme, snippets here and there, i will do a catch up i am sure, it's an intriguing piece. I am hoping Damien Lewis isn't the bad guy, he seems too nice to be an Al Quaeda operative....

He speaks Arabic because he was a prisoner for 8 years - and he's Muslim because he said he turned to God during his imprisonment and there wasn't a bible around. The vest ..... who knows? ...... but he did say something to his daughter about looking after the mum when he's no longer around.

Yeah - I may have imagined it or misheard it but I'm sure at some point early on when Carrie was trying to get him to surveil Brody in the first place she said something along the lines of..'what's the matter with you Saul? - I can't believe you're the same guy who faced down his torturers in Baghdad and told them to go screw themselves'.

Walker had an open phone line to Nazir, who was listening in on their conversation. Nazir asked to speak to Brody. He asked if it was true that the vest jammed. Brody said it was but that it may have turned out for the best since he could now be an inside man in the US Govt, especially as the Vice President was likely to become the President. Nazir thought this was a good idea, but that Walker was a fly in the ointment. He asked Brody to kill Walker to prove his commitment, which Brody did in short order.
Later, Brody spoke to Carrie to ask her to leave him and his family alone. Carrie was distraught, clearly believing she had it all wrong. She signed herself up for ECT (electro-convulsive therapy) to sort out her bipolar disorder.
Saul arrived at the last minute to try to talk her out of the therapy, saying that it wiped short term memory. Saul told Carrie that she was right - Nazir had been in a quiet period, owing to the death of his son Issa in the US drone strike. Carrie was determined to proceed with the ECT though. As she went under the anaesthetic, she suddenly realised that "Issa" was what Brody had been saying in his sleep when they slept together at the cabin. She had been right all along! She came round briefly and said something to that effect, which her sister overheard, but the anaesthetist said not to worry, that it often happened as people were going under. Then the ECT started (with some great acting by Claire Danes). The end ...
