The drama of attending a graduation as the proud Ma and leaving semi naked in a recovery truck and the excitement of getting my avatar caused me to forget to post this.

Miriam Margolyes in her one woman show, Dickens` Woman, is stunning. It is one of the best performances by an actor I have ever seen.

Tying in the life of Dickens with his female characters was fascinating and her portrayal of those characters was just wonderful.

An amazing lady and something not to be missed.

She was on Breakfast TV (BBC) about 3 weeks ago explaining this one woman show & at the time I thought 'a must see' but I don't think she's coming our way.
I've always loved this woman, so frank & honest & a brilliant actress.

If I tell you that this was one of the very few times I have been to the theatre without having to tell someone off or smack them for moving or making a noise you`ll know how spellbound the audience was. :-)

Did you see her on the Graham Norton show a few weeks back? Brilliant. but I got the feeling that half the time she didn't know what WillIAm and the others were talking about!

she was superb on graham norton lol,and she and will.i.am were a brilliant double act! his face,when she said she didnt often get to meet black people,was a real picture!i do think there was a lot going over her little head and i loved the way he was explaining,"like",stuff to her ;-)

Just checked and she has four tour dates in Scotland. Must be at the Edinburgh Festival as she's there from 8 - 25 August. Think I'll try to get a ticket.

when i met her in 1995 she was wearing her other hat as a researcher of genetics in ancestry. she was heavily involved in some ground breaking genetic studies. fascinating stuff at the time.
