Just seen a trailer for a new series of Dallas! J R Ewing must be flipping ancient and Bobby doesn't look too sprightly either.

I haven`t seen it yet but colleagues of mine that have managed to catch it in the US say it`s surprisingly good. I`ll have to remember to record it because I`m bound not to be here. When does it start?

I`m not surprised after the life he`s led. He was a huge party animal on the set and had to have a liver transplant.

well they are thirty years older - Sue Ellen's in the trailer too, I was on the lookout for the poison dwarf but I couldn't see her.

I've seen a few episodes already - not too bad, but not as good as the original.

JR looks like they got him out of the cupboard and dusted him off - Sue Ellen's acting is a little over the top.

Verdict: Watchable
