RIP Max Bygraves

So sad to read about the death, in Australia, of Max Bygraves. In my opinion he was a great all rounder and contrary to some articles I have read, thought he was a good singer. Alzheimers is such a cruel affliction to many a brilliant mind.

tbh, I hadn't realised he was still alive (exile to Australia can do these things to your reputtion). But I used to love his songs.

I thought he was lovely-I agree with you maggiebee- a good singer of the type of songs he sang.My children loved Gilly gilly.....Not many entertainers like him now.His type wouldn't appeal nowadays .oops, I've used a word I try not to use!

For me, a name always synonymous with dear Geoff Love :)

The last time I saw Max, we were stuck side by side on the Ashley Heath roundabout on the A338 (pre flyover days). He was in a Roller and I wasn't.

Hats off to his daughter for nursing him through his illness.

Lovely entertainer though he had little talent IMO...always liked his performances..his jokes were cringeworthy at times and ...a singer maggie?...."Your a Pink toothbrush!".....give over!

Still, a great performer in his day..Rip Max.
