Beer of the Week
Colley's Dog (5.2%) from Tring Brewery,Hertfordshire.
Dark ruby in colour but not over rich. Strong yet very drinkable, this premium ale has a long dry finish with overtones of malt and walnuts.
Maybe not a session Beer as it is fairly strong.
A close second was Guerilla (4.9%) from Blue Monkey Brewery, Notts.
Both these Beers were available last Friday @ 'The Wellington', Bennett's Hill,Brum, which is a specialist Real Ale Pub.
The Link below is for sunny-dave's Birmingham Beer Festival Thread.
The Festival runs from Thursday 25th Oct-Saturday 27th Oct.

Really kicking myself I cant make it up to Brum this year. We do the London one every year and a few more local ones. Reading is supposed to have a good one.
You're from up that way? One of the best pints I ever had was a Banks Mild in a pub just outside Dudley - are Banks still going?

With the Birmingham Beer Festival coming up next week, it will be difficult to choose one single Beer as a weekly favourite as there will be around 220 Cask Ales to sample !! :-))
An up to date Beer List should be available early next week once all Beers are on site as they need about 48hrs to settle before being ready to serve. Hopefully all Cask Ales will be on site by Monday.
Beer list is available on sunny-dave's Birmingham Beer Festival Post.....see link.
Looking forward to sampling some new Beer
