Does anyone remember a programme whereby a plane flew along the whole of the outline of the UK and it was all filmed? It was a few years back and I've a feeling it was "Horizon" or some such programme. Moreover, if anyone DOES know what I'm yabbering about, any ideas on whether it ever came out on video or owt??

Sorry, I don't have any links to what you refer to, though I do vaguely remember it.

However ..... yesterday, a friend sent me this link, which you'll need to download, but it may be of interest to you, given your question. Be warned, some locations are far crisper than others and it can get quite addictive !

Gilli~ that site is awesome! thank you for that link xxx
Hi JinxtheCat, I remember the programme. It was filmed from a RAF jet and it was filmed backwards somehow (can't remember the exact details). It only took something like 15 minutes to fly round the whole mainland coatline. Don't know if it ever came out on video or anything though.
I think it was a QED program called "Round Britain Whizz". Can't find any VHS or DVD details, sadly.
It was filmed using a backward facing camera so that the lens didn't get covered with dead insects, etc. The recording was then played in reverse so that it appeared that the camera was facing forwards.
