though I remember him more for Iron Horse but did watch this as a kid.

crikey had no idea he was still alive...
RIP. He had a good innings. WElls Fargo, Robin Hood, and William Tell were the viewing highlights of the week for me when I was a kid.

Did you not watch Iron Horse Zeuhl, it was on on a Monday night when The Monroes had finished, must have been about 1967/68
I do remember Iron Horse DJ now you mention it

I was 12 in 1967 so was moving rapidly onto braless Susan Stranks and Lesley Judd in the childrens tv dept.

And The Virginian of course ...

Yep he's still going strong is Jim Drury, he had a gallbladder op last autumn but recovered well and is as active as ever, he's recently got back in touch with Don Quine (Stacy Grainger) and they've done a few appearances together.
Don't remember The Cisco Kid. But the mention of Roy Rodgers reminded me of The Lone Ranger
I was always intrigued as a kid that the Principal character had no name and was often not in it much when stories featured Trampas

His name was used once in the episode where he got married, to Diane Baker I think it was,
aargh the delovely Diane Baker

She came out of the same mold as Suzanne Pleshette I believe
Thanks for these memories. I remember Dale and the Virginian.
I used to love Wells Fargo, The Virginian and Wagon Train with the lovely Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates.

RIP Dale.
RIP Dale. I remember all of them very well indeed. My favourite though was Robert Fuller from Laramie
