anyone watching? the town its filmed in, is the town i lived in when i was a kid - but not the beach. not sure where that is. weird to see somewhere i know really well then a beach that doesn't 'fit'

The beach is Westbay in Dorset.

I was just saying the same. I thought the beach was Cornwall at first, but not so sure. Somewhere along the south coast.
It's good isn't it, so far.

Yes, there was a feature about the filming of the programme on the local (South-east) news this evening. Am watching it too - seems good.

So you're from Clevedon then? If you want to tie up the loose ends in your mind, take a trip to West Bay, Bridport, Dorset, where you might find that the beach looks rather familiar to you ;-)

My sister lives right at the end of Hill Road. She said they'd been filming on and off for a while, and it was in the local paper.
I was only watching it for that reason, but it's turned out to be quite good.

Sorry meant to say West Bay beach is near Bridport in west Dorset. Don't think the filming was done anywhere else. Olivia Colman & David Tennant were both interviewed on the programme.

sorry hill road not hill street and i lived on hill road for a couple of years. my friens are in that early scene at the school fair

I'm watching it and I'm from Dorset. Didn't recognise the town though. As it's Clevedon I'm not surprised. I am trying to think where I know the mum from??

I found it a bit weird that the BBBc and ITV1 both doing dramas about child abduction and murder. Not the sort of thing I want to see. Could do with something a bit more cheerful. I understand people that watch someting because it's filmed near where they live, though!

Yeah I watched it (was also surprised it's being aired at the same time as the BBC programme).

We've had quite a few things filmed around here and it's always weird seeing them. One show (can't remember which) used to film in front of the court and in the next scene be somewhere completely different.
