I personally found this act both disgusting and cringeworthy.

God, there are some real prudes on here !!! Anyone would think she was perfoming a live sex act on stage .......
Was it cringeworthy because she was an old person singing such a song, or because of the lyrics in general?

It's odd if the first one, is there some upper age limit to singing such songs?
Cher is 66.
chaptazbru - its not prudish at all - it was cringeworthy but so were a lot of the acts on last night.

Didn't make me cringe at all.
Exactly chaptazbru. Remind me to never divulge my bedroom antics here ever as i seriously think it would cause multiple heart attacks.

jim -I would say the same had she been any age -it was a bad song choice for a family show
Lol Vegasqueen .....
AOG, so you think that these acts are actually live and unvetted?
Thanks headwreck. I thought there might be someone else with a similar sounding name.
I didn't see it, wouldn't be caught dead watching BGT. Just wondered if people were objecting because it was a bad song, or because it was an old woman singing it. If you don't like the song (or song choice) then that's fair enough.
I don't have a TV but heard about this lady online. I watched her act and found it to be tacky, inappropriate for so early in the evening - but I enjoyed it - a good novelty act.

The one act that I did enjoy was the Shadow dancers - from a few weeks ago.
Who are Mediawatch ? They sound rather like Mrs Whitehouse's organisation. They advertise themselves as "For family viewing". No surprise then that they are, in fact, the successors to the NVLA, her organisation.

This performance does not seem too much, but , no doubt, Mrs Whitehouse would have condemned it
It's nothing to do with age after all some of the greatest singers continued to sing well into their 70s and 80s Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, etc. This lady wasn't even a good singer and the song choice was inappropriate for the show.
jim -you're not missing much lol! - the song was about a wronged woman who finds her husband with another woman giving him a you know what job - so then goes on to tell him to 'kiss my ass' - I personally would have prefered a song about a wronged woman who trashed his sportscar, cut up his cloths -bottomed out his credit cards -changed the locks and got herself a toyboy -but thats just me....;-)
I actually thought she was fun. 72? Good for her!
//giving him a you know what job //

I didn't read that into it. Maybe I'm naive.
To see what all the fuss is about, I just found the clip of Kelly Fox on Youtube.

Quite amusing really; but so are a lot of other acts.
