The act in question put me in mind of someone's Gran getting up on stage at a wedding reception etc, much as we do want our children hearing profanities - a bit of light hearted naughtiness will do them no harm.

AOG - I agree cringeworthy to the enth degree -but then I found the little kids gyrating and pouting equally cringeworthy -note to self - from now on do not watch BGT or the Voice -both insults to the intelligence.

I was surprised that act was broadcast (the 72 year old competitor who's song contained 'kiss my ass'). Personally, I wasn't offended, but I thought it was right at the very edge of 'acceptable' for family viewing.

Oh don't be such a prude anotheolgit. She was fabulous and i was rooting for her.
She was feisty, funky and energetic and was singing a song about a strong woman who had enough of her man, something we all can sympathise with.
We need more 72 year olds like her in the world to make it a brighter and more festive place i'm sure most of britain would agree.

I did a similar post about this, thought the 72 year old lady was cringeworthy and not suitable viewing for a programme which is supposed to be family orientated the judges jumped on the bandwagon as well singing along and ass kissing. I'm sure there were lots of embarrassed families watching!

you can see plenty of woman like her on wedding videos taken after they've had one too many cherry b's - i think the line in the lyric 'with a woman between his thighs' was a bit near the knuckle for family viewing though my 12 year old thought she was 'horrible' and 'creepy' so I don't really know who she would appeal to . She'll obviously be kept in however cringeworthy her act is it will get publicity -maybe next time she'll tackle Ozzy Osbourne's crazy train or one of Shers songs -she's about Shers age isn't she ;=)

Oh my god did you see when simon kissed amandas rump? This will go down in history as one of the best moments of bgt.

Caribeing, we've had strippers on the show before so people know what to expect and the shows makers know we like to be shocked and wowed with risque performances otherwise it'd get boring and lose viewers.

Come on lighten up darlings, life's too short to be worrying and angry about trivial matters.
