No, and no idea who should be the next one.
David Tennant will regenerate as the Doctor again......in a Bobby Ewing/Dallas type showers scene!!

BBC will be screaming to get him back, Dr Who never had such good ratings and while I've enjoyed Matt Smith, DT was the best Doctor since Tom Baker
The only female Dr Who I can envisage being able to fill the role might be Tilda Swinton. A great actress with the zany style to pull off a demanding character . Anyone agree ?
Surely it has to be Boris Johnson
JTP, Boris is a female ??? A buffon maybe , but a male one ;)
If I was going to suggest someone I'd say Olivia Coleman.
Have you ever seen Boris Johnson and Anne Widdecombe at the same time?!!!
I'd like to see Caroline Quentin in the role.
Someone mentioned Sue Perkins.
Spot on!
Ye gods! Sue Perkins? Luckily she'll be far too busy being clever somewhere to do it.
JTP....No, doesn't bear thinking about !!
Im sure Olivia Coleman would fill the vacancy nicely.
Rita Tanner from Corrie. She would be the right age for The Doctor.
trouble with OC is that she was already in it as an alien
Every time a new Dr Who is about to be cast, the media start banging on about how "this time it might be a female". Even within the fantastical premise of Dr Who, Time Lords and regeneration, having him change sex is a stupid idea. The other daft thing that's often suggested is bringing back a previous Doctor or companion for the role. Luckily, they never go with any of these silly ideas. I have a creeping feeling they'll go for Andrew Scott (Moriarty in the recent Sherlock), or at least approach him, but I don't think he'd be right for the part.

I think Damian Lewis would be good but I doubt they'd ask, or that he'd accept.
maybe it is time for a female Doctor with a male assistant, mind you, what would she do with a sonic screwdriver.
David Tennant will be in an episode in November, along with Matt Smith.
The Doctor is a male character. I'd be happier with a dog playing him to be honest. They're trying too hard to be politically correct.
@BlackRoseThorn, no-one's trying to be PC and there is never any serious intent to cast a woman, this is just the usual media nonsense that happens each time a new Doctor has to be cast, they indulge in the same dreary unimaginative speculation every time.
