Pipkins/Mr Trimble
Am I the only one that remembers Mr Trimble - this was the forerunner of Pipkins - I think Mr Trimble died and Pipkins was created - What happened to Glugg the Goldfish - he was in Mr Trimble - but not Pipkins

What you may be thinking of is that the first series of Pipkins was actually called Inigo Pipkin, named after its lead character, played by George Woodbridge. Woodbridge died during filming of the second series, so Wayne Laryea, who played Inigo Pipkin's assistant Johnny, took over for series two, which was renamed Pipkins. How do I know all this? I'd like to claim credit, but it's all here:

Yes, boys and girls, the official Pipkins website :-) Can't find much on Mr Trimble though.
Yes, "Mr. Trimble" was not replaced by "Pipkins".
I think "Mr. Trimble" was made by Yorkshire TV whereas "Inigo Pipkins" and "Pipkins" ( after actor George Woodford died during the making of the second series of Inigo Pipkin ) was made by ATV.
I seem to remember that "Mr. Trimble" ran for quite a few series.
Anyone remember "Hickory House" with Humphry Cusion and Dusty Mop, "Moon-Cat" presented by Beryl Read, and Susan Stranks presenting "Paper Play" with Itsy and Bitsy the spiders ?
