What were the particularly thick moments tonight?

Not thick at all, just lacking knowledge of some topics.

They were too young to have wide ranging enough general knowledge, they did however hang in there 'til the last question of the final round with just one player, could you, I wonder, have done that?

No canary tonight was excruciating they knew nothing about anything at all..you could see the postmaster squirming it really was the worst EVER

I watch a lot of quiz shows and find that the ones where you can win money most of the contestants know very little. I think they are chosen for their lack of knowledge.

Baldric he was the only one that sounded in any way competent enough to be there. Is there no pre selection process ? Did not appear that way tonight at all.

I always thought they had to pass some sort of general knowledge tests before being selected for quiz shows.

Well, I've just watched it on iPlayer, and apart from not having heard of Atilla the Hun, I can't see any howlers from the guys. They had tough questions.

They do AYG. Then they choose the numpties. Not speaking of eggheads but other quiz shows

Yes, The Chase and the new one Take on the Twisters definitely pick numpties. There was a howler on that today, but I can't remember what it was.

Absolute howler on Pointless the other week. The questions were about famous assassinations.
