Cancelling Tv Subscription
3 Answers
I moved into a flat about 7 weeks ago and decided to use TalkTalk for my internet and home phone services. At the time I had no interest in adding TV to my chosen package However, as the prices for TV,internet and phone deals were so good, I took a package with all three. Due to the unusual layout of the flat I was fully aware that I would need additional wires from the router as it cannot be in the room we use as a living room. This is not a problem , but I have not done it five weeks on and realise I really do not want Tv at all. the contract is for 18 months, but would I be allowed to cancel this and return the unused youview box? I am , of course, paying.?

I would doubt that you are now able to cancel the contract for the TV. However, there is no harm in giving Talk Talk a 'sob story' about cost and seeing what reaction you get from the organisation.

The router is in a different part of the flat. the distance between that and the youview box is large . talktalk do offer a powerline option which helps with signal where the router and youview box are some distance apart . It could be ordered and could
qpossibly work, but our premises are unusual and it is unlikely to work here (.on good advice) Basically I made the wrong decision to take the triple package and wanted to know how contracts may work. the 'sob story' option is not really for me and I accept I may continue to pay for the service, and perhaps connect it at a later date.
