Absolutely loved it, even though the accents were dodgy. I was gripped from the start.

Amazing how difficult it really is, to find someone (other than a real Brummie) to carry off the accent

Hard to believe that Timothy Spall (Barry from Birmingham) isn't a Brummie and has never lived in Birmingham.

Just watched it on BBC i, very good, a few dodgy brummie accents. Locations are pretty good as well.

not everyone has to have strong brummie accents just cos theyre from there. I dont, and one or 2 of the family dont either, yet some of my siblings speak almost a foreign language !! Strange isnt it but perhaps it would have been stronger back then
