It was a classical piece playing in the background of the tv show Flog It! aired last night (Nov 6th 2013). It was when the presenter went to Harewood House to look at the antiques.
The programme is an hour long (available on BBCi player). Have you a rough idea where it is timewise? The bit at 24.50 that mass hysteria has suggested is Paul Martin sitting with some guy in Talisman gardens and no classical music playing.
I managed to get into the BBC iplayer and played the (Hopefully) right day's show, but Shazam failed to recognise the piece of music. It's usually reliable.
But the French clock just before it fetched good money, considering the optimistic estimate. It hadn't got its garniture; the two matching urns or vases that would go either side of it. Some people bid to the estimate because they think the lot must be worth what the estimate is
