Champions League On Bt Sport Only
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ sport/0 /footba ll/2487 9138
From 2015 BT Sport will have exclusive rights to show all Champions League matches, so no more matches on ITV or Sky. But BT are going to do us all a favour by showing at least one match involving each participating British team for free every season, so that could be as few as 5 games during the whole season.
If you don't already have BT Sport will this be enough to make you pay for that channel? Personally I won't, so will just have to watch the game highlights on the news programmes the following morning.

What riles me is having to pay twice for everything i.e TV Licence Fee plus the Sports Package.
The sooner the TV Licence is scrapped the better.
These so called 'Free' online sites are a bit of a farce, too many ads and Picture break-up. I prefer uninterrupted coverage

No it won't make me subscribe to BT. But whether I'm typical or not I don't know.
I'm tired of hearing about companies competing against each other allegedly for the benefit of the public. All it means is more expense for people who want to have access to everything (the streaming facility constantly brought up here is a completely separate issue)
A smart move by them all the same - perhaps - although who now remembers the last company to have exclusive rights to the Champions League :-)

There's actually lots of free sport on TV. And probably more sport on the BBC before than ever. They certainly have more channels - red button etc.
So I don't understand the point about the licence fee, which in any case is supposed to cater for more than just sports fans.
With you on the streaming though :-)

Arksided - streaming is definitely the way to go. Have you seen the Al Jazeers website? It shows every Premier League game while BT and Sky just cover a couple on a Saturday or Sunday.
For instance Chelsea v WBA is not on BT or Sky today. but it's on the Al Jazeera site

I only have BT Sport because it was free as we have BT Broadband, had no intention of subscribing when it runs out next year. I may have to reconsider as I am a fan of Barcelona and if that is the only way I can watch Champions League games I will have to add it to our subscription - unless I can talk my husband into letting me subscribe to Barca TV
nungate - you can always watch Barcelona's game on here

Scroll down and you will see that later today they are playing Real Jaen.

I think I might resent that last comment Joeluke, as I neither smoke nor drink nor wear designer clothes. Our subscription for our Sky box is our only "vice" I am the one who insists on the Sports channels as I have already said that I follow Barcelona, and watch a lot of the games from La Liga. I just might have problems justifying the extra cost of another channel.
Thanks Sir Prize for that football link I will make use of it (just don't tell my husband he might take away my footie priviledges)
