Extras - Christmas Special

I was a huge fan of Extras when it was on, but never knew there was a Christmas Special.

I watched it last night - what a fabulous piece of work!

It had everything really good humour has - exercising that millimetre gap between comedy and tragedy that all the best comedy writing can do.

The guest stars were all fabulous, and the whole thing, writing, direction, acting, made it one of the best shows I have seen for a very long time.

People may moan about Ricky Gervais, but with work like this, he can be very proud indeed of what he does.

I don't think anyone - including Ricky Gervais himself would call him a 'comedy genius', but himself and Stephen Merchant are seriously talented.
