A lot of people seem to think that all benefit claimers have massive TVs, cars etc.
The truth is a single person under 25 with no children has to live on a tiny £58 per week, for food, bills, clothes, everything. They might get Housing benefit, but it's unlikely to cover the whole rent. Not all claimants are wallowing in taxpayer funded treats and luxuries.

An alcoholic is filmed always drinking but it's been claimed the production team were giving out cans of lager and packets of fags to the residents, as well as fast food such as burgers. This is in lieu of payments because money would affect their benefits.
I did see some large tvs, shoplifting and buying stolen goods. I also saw one resident go back in to prison shortly after coming out.
There's always been the feckless wastrels and there always will be.
It's a not a life I'd like to live.
