Pc With Wi Fi Problem
3 Answers
Just had a new Hub from Virgin fitted after lots of problems, and everything is now working great except for my laptop.According to speed tests,it is for example giving a reading of 7Mbps,when wired it is 37 Mbps.My daughters laptop, wireless would give a reading of 35 Mbps, and wired the same as mine,so I know the problem is with my laptop.I thought I should give it a good clean and clear out, does anyone know what could be the cause of the wireless issues?
It still does everything,as in plays iplayer even in HD,and I de frag at least once a month, but wonder if it could be a hardware problem or a virus of some sort?
Any help would be appreciated.I am using windows 7 btw.
Much thanks for any ideas.

If that didn't work I'd try resetting the TCP/IP stack on the laptop:

Quick update-changed channel, not much difference, did the reset TCP/IP stack and much better.
To be honest,I am happy with that, and as this is now our main PC I am quite happy to not put it in a shop for them to fiddle with.
It does what I want it to(thanks to Chris's advice)so for now I am going to leave well alone!
Thanks again!
