Celebrity marriages don't seem to stay the course, and you can usually predict that they won't last, however I genuinely believed that these 2 would. They both seemed pretty grounded- such a shame.

I think she has some oddball ideas, but seemed pretty cool. She was a celebrity cooking programme not that long ago and was a riot.

i did, they didn't seem a good match in some ways, both high profile celebs, both with demanding careers, he is music she in films, away from each other at varying points, the demands of both industries can be high.

There was a bit of a grumble in their relationship a couple of years ago if I remember rightly and I thought there would have been an announcement then. Strange it's happened now seeing as they moved to the States a little while ago after spending most of their marriage based here.

I never had much time for Chris Martin, his fifth form poetry croaked out in his teenage angst vocals, and his messages in his hands, all that guff. Just been reading their announcement, uncoupling, fancy term now for separation! They say they still love each other and have been closer as a family than ever before, strange reasons for splitting up! Its the kids I feel sorry for!
