I'm a great fan and watched every episode. Quirky and very funny at times with strange filming techniques. They've dropped the fake town square that was done with poor computer graphics in this series - and I miss it.

I love how they bring in real experts of the day in to the story lines, and fictional heroes such as Sherlock Holmes.

Quaintly bonkers, I call it.

I have never seen it but I have watched a couple of episodes of Midsomer Murders online lately. They are an hour and a half - I have the attention span of a gnat. I lose track of what's happened. It is a shame because they are pleasant family viewing, well my cats like them and they are my family.

Midsomer seems to be suffering a perpetual crime wave. There's no end of murders in them.
Quaintly bonkers is a good description of Murdoch, I agree.

Midsomer has gone off the boil. It used to have real oddball characters and eccentrics with murders committed in the most outlandish ways.
Now it's just like any other murder mystery set in the countryside.

I love Murdoch mysteries,I have watched every episode but then I am a little bit in love with Yannick Bisson. It can be quaint but also very funny at times.

Don't get Alibi since we switched to BT freeview to save money. I actually miss UK Gold. How sad is that?

I never watched Gold and Alibi repeats and repeats the repeats.

There should have been a comma after Gold ^. I watched a full episode of Murdoch tonight. I've seen bits of it before.

Ah. I set my Tivo up to record only new episodes. That way I skip the repeats and the adverts.
Alibi does have programmes that aren't shown elsewhere. I'm going to look at the Miss Fisher series soon - I've heard good reports of it.
