How low-budget was that first section?! Did John Barrowman insist it included a gay kiss? What The Funicular is Nicole Shirt Swinger's connection to Scotland? And where are The Proclaimers?

The Scots girls are very easy on the eye, though :-)

I was at the Opening Ceremony and it was absolutely fantastic! Glaswegians have a very tongue in cheek sense of humour and we like to take the mickey and have a laugh at ourselves. The shortbread was there - in the shape of the 'stones' in theisles. All of the 40,000 folk that were in the audience loved it!!
Sorry , I'm a couple of days late with this post but, as a Scot I found it cringing!
The only true musician on there was Nicola Benedetti!
Why they didn't switch to Glasgow Green for Lulu and the fantastic Eddie (Perfect) Reader ( who should have been singing at the main event ) I'll never know....SuBo was too nervous and Rod was pretty awful!
And for the record, I'm still a 'NO' vote!

I thought the whole ceremony was ruined, by the begging all the time.
That should have been a separate programme.
It seems to me, most of the time, the fathers are sitting on the side, laughing at the west, feeding their kids, while they make more.
If people want to give money, let them do so, but don't spoil others entertainment.
Oh! call me scrooge and other names, I give to those that deserve it.
