Why oh why oh why must ITV and increasingly BBC put the naffing news in before the last half hour or so of films, just start the film earlier or have the news later, anyway, I doubt there are people watching the film thinking, "you know I really could no with have this film interupted so I can be depressed by the sodding news", Makes my blood boil, sorry Mr Angry calming down now!

You are so right! By the time I have watched the news I can't remember the film anyway or else I've fallen asleep. I just never start watching films with a break in the middle now.
It infuriates me too Loosehead,i refuse to watch any film now that is split up like that,it'll probably come round again within the next 3 months anyway, the way that films are repeated so much nowadays!
Yes very annoying.  You are expected to stay up until the late hours to see the end of a film.  Anyone who wants the news bad enough can see BBC24 or ITV News or Sky News, or click on teletext!

Good answers, and the really annoying thing is that last year ITV asked if they could move news at 10 to 9 and one of the reasons they gave was so they wouldn't have to split films. T*&^%s!
Totally agree!!!!!! Soooooooooo annoying!!!! And all for the sake of the last half hour - SORT IT OUT ITV!!
