The film, like the spelling, was Marvellous. Great performance from Toby Jones.
Yes, I did. I enjoyed it, it was a bit different. Loved it when he put all those underpants on.

Dunno what happened to the text I wrote, think the bbc link ate it!
That was lovely, thanks B00
Yes. I thought it was delightful.
I did B00, it was indeed marvellous, I loved every minute of it. I was a tad worried at one point when he was walking alone at night, worried he would be attacked, but a super film. And a lovely chap!
It was more than marvellous .It was absolutely brilliant .Such a lovely happy man in spite of his difficulties .
Superb acting by Toby Jones and Gemma Jones as his mother .

Shaney have you got that link, I'm sure B00 would love to read all about him.
Best in a long time.
Hang on ....

Ta shaney, but I've already read up on him- he's truly awe inspiring isn't he?
Isn't he just .Just goes to show what people can achieve in spite of learning difficulties .He's brought a lot of love and laughter into peoples lives and the fact that he's been friends with Malcom Clarke for fifty years is amazing Malcolm struck me as a lovely man too .

I Googled him afterwards as id not heard of him prior to the film. The film itself really gave me a warm fuzzy feeling, something we don't often feel watching telly these days (crikey, I sound old!!)
I had to laugh at the end when he got the bishop to take him shopping .
It gave me an ear worm.."Enjoy yourself ,it's later than you think "
I was humming it all the next day ..haha.
Very true though!
But also kudos to the mum, she had to make him be independant.
Just caught up with this, absolutely fabulous. I was laughing and crying in equal measures. Brilliant acting.
Just caught this on BBC iPlayer and i must concur with most of what has been said. Brilliantly funny and poignant in equal measure and what a good idea to include the actual subjects in this brilliant production
Toby Jones is in a new comedy series tonight BBC4@10:00.
Might be worth a look for his 'fans'. ;o)
