Do you purposefully tune into anything or do you tend to switch on more for background whilst doing jobs?

Are audience figures in general on national stations increasing or dropping does anyone know?

I only listen to the radio in the car. As I don't have a car at the moment I don't tune in. When I do it's Radio 2 for me and the kids tune in to Heart or Radio 1. I really dislike radio1 though.
The only thing I specifically put on is the Archers omnibus on a Sunday morning. The rest is just background. R4 in the house when getting up, going to bed or in the kitchen. R2 in the car if I don't have a CD on so not often.
Mainly just background but at any rate exclusively ClassicFM and Radio Four. Unless there is some sport to listen to that is.
Just background, and usually in the car for me, also.

Stations ... only ever ...

Juice FM
Talk Sport
5 Live
Radio 4
Radio 3
Classic FM
R4e mainly & R4.
Radio 2 , generally. Radio 5 live or 5 live Extra if sports that I like are on.
I never listen to the radio, I actually find them a little anti social, but that's just me!
Usually in the car - Radio 4, Classic FM or BBC local radio

Though whichever it is it seems they are either using the same script every day or endlessly reusing recordings

No particular progs,
Heart
Capital
Magic
At home, BBC or Sky TV 24hr News mostly.
Internet radio rules the wifi here, with my favourite music played in sets of 4 tracks, with the DJs then giving a rundown of the artists involved, then playing another 4 tracks followed by more info then more tracks. It's American public radio at its best.
perhaps you're pushing the wrong button, dzug, and listening to the same tape every day. ;)
Over the net I like fantasy radio very brIght and breezy
Talksport, except when Stan Collymore is on, really can't stand him.

Used to listen to Magic but switched over to Smooth, and sometimes listen to William Hill radio online
Radio 1, Heart, Radio 4 depending on what's going on but I don't listen to the radio much and usually only on a car journey unless I get wind of anything specific I'm desperate to hear.
^tut, radio1 is for young uns, kval. ;)
It is, even I feel old listening to it sometimes, everyone sounds about 12 on it and a lot of it is utter shizzle :/
Radio 4 in the mornings, for the Today Program ( goes without saying really )
The Archers, of course !
Broadcasting House on a Sunday morning.
Radio 3 in the evenings, especially during the Proms season.
Radio Extra for all those wonderful old comedy programs.
Radio 1 and 2...never.
The Jeremy Vine Show
The Music Goes Round, Desmond Carrington's show
Pick of the Pops
Just A Minute
I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue
Gold. Just because they play songs I know.
