The way the boy was dressed in the two pictures was from the turn if the century, not around 1930 which would have been when he was born. Plus he has always lived in the house alone and never seen a GP.
I am sure he wouldn't have been taken straight to a care home though - it takes weeks!

Several times while watching, I think I felt my whole body jump up on the sofa at least 3 times! I don't usually watch scary progs, so might have to watch the rest of it from behind the sofa :-) Having said that, I then watched Homeland (which I had recorded) so I was a bit of a nervous wreck when I went to bed. x
Just glad I watched it IN DAYLIGHT on iplayer this morning!
I live not far from the location (and those of other programmes) it's murder trying to drive around or visit local shops when filming is underway. I was stopped the other week in the same area for filming of a some movie with Liam Neeson and Sigourney Weaver. We residents often get told, 'You can't park here!' My frequent reply is, 'Watch Me!'

It was really creepy with loads of little clues dotted in and out of the story, most of which didn't seem to make sense, obviously all will be revealed in the forthcoming episodes. Core plot is about an elderly man who fakes an injury from falling downstairs to get himself into a care home. Why? Is his house haunted/possessed? Sub-plots include his neighbours, his social workers, his care and her dysfunctional family. I thought it was really well done but we're not all like this round here! Well, most of aren't.
