Can anybody please tell me in how many films did John Wayne die or get killed? I know that it's not many...possibly 2 or 3?

Thanks

Thanks Brugel...just what I needed!

Can anybody confirm whether the Duke died in Big Jake for me?

I think it's the one where he gets stabbed in the back...can't remember if he survives or not?

It's me again. My recollection of Big Jake (which I haven't seen for a while) is that he doesn't get killed- he survives the stabbing. However, I seem to remember that his dog wasn't so lucky- someone shoots it. It's a tough life being a cowboy.

I remember it now...thanks again Brugel. We'll take the list of seven as gospel...unless anyone else has any ideas?
I suppose you could add The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. The film starts with James Stewart going to his funeral.
Yes, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance is a famous one. But I can't remember if we see him being killed or dying during the film.

I think you're right there Brugel...James Stewart is going to his funeral at the beginning of the film and the rest of the story is told in flashback. Good point though Johnmof...I wonder if we should include it?
