The Avengers Re-Runs

I have been recording the re-runs of The Avengers on one of the minor TV channels, but I had to delete one to allow the present Mrs Hughes to watch Eastenders, and it has taken all the scheduled recordings off.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find them, and get set up again?

I can remember seeing them in black-and-white so around 1966

I love the way Emma Peel pulls around a stunt man and he dives thro a balsa wood partition ....

I saw most of them in black and white
but my fren' ..... whose father was a lawyer bought an early colour television and they would broadcast test programmes in colour of which I think the avengers was one

you would watch black and white on your colour television and then without warningn it would explode into colour......

Sounds to me as though what you have done is to delete a planned recording, which will automatically delete series recordings. Just go to TV guide to find the next episode and select record followed by series.

These were repeated maybe 10 years ago (C4?) but I only caught a couple of episodes. One appeared to have been performed live (videotape quality to match and B&W), the other was film quality and in colour. The Lotus Elan, in that one was white, fwiw.

Worth it just for archive footage of Britain's roads before they got choked with traffic.
