Songs Of The South Reginald D. Hunter...

I must say that I enjoyed watching the series and the final episode last night on BBC2.
The only thing that I found slightly disappointing, was that I was just getting into one of the iconic songs being played, like Bobby Gentry's, "Ode to Billy Joe" for instance, then suddenly they fade the song out and move on to something else.
Personally, I'd rather hear each song in its entirety, rather than just snippets.
I guess that would have doubled the length of the program but I could live with that!
At the end of the program, Reg said something like "see you all next year for the new series" I'll be looking forward to that, get that red Cadillac rolling!

I just logged on to see if anyone in the TV section had commented on this wonderful series when I noticed your post under Latest Posts! As I haven't watched last night's programme yet, I can't comment further but I'm looking forward to it. The red Caddy has my name on it when he's finished with it!
