Mackenzie Crook also wrote, directed and starred in that gentle, laid-back comedy series "The Detectorists" on BBC4 recently.
(BTW..he also keeps/breeds tortoises!).

Absolutely brilliant, each week I think they can't maintain this high standard for another episode and every week they do. Mackenzie Crook gave an outstanding performance last night, so different from Gareth in the Office, he's a great actor.
