If you want to lose weight just eat a little less exercise with walks all these elaborate slimming products are a waste, I have just tried slimming pasta from Holland and Barrett now in the bin horrible! Just do your own rainbow of vegetables!

I beat the durum wheat pasta ban in a low carb diet by finding Penne pasta, made from maize and rice, in the Gluten-free aisle of my supermarket.
Pasta is still food. You can't get slimming food. All you can do is select filling meals with lower energy values per portion than usual. Slimming is not easy. Even though some suggest it is.
Ive been doing the 5-2 diet but i fast on alternate days. i'm hoping that on monday when i weigh myself, and that will be 2 weeks into the diet, i'll be on course to lose a stone.

I can't believe how the weight is falling off. I appreciate it'll slow down but i feel so much better.

Off now for a chicken breast, salad and stir fry done in ginger, garlic, lemon juice and soy sauce !!!
Hammer an I also did the 5:2 diets last year and lost10 kilos. Not a difficult diet to follow, actually on diet days I felt fine, a bit hungry around 5.00 p.m., but I also found a ate less, and better food, on the non diet days. I haven't regained the lost wieght either.
One tip, go onto the Facebook of the 5:2, you get a lot of support there.
Don't mention Holland + Barrett to me! I went in yesterday + asked for chunky porage oats. I have a packet of Jordan's which I'm sure I bought fron there. The miserable bored-looking girl waved in the direction of the cereals and said "chunky? Nah, all we've got is the ordinary + jumbo".
I bought the jumbo. ;)
What terrible service Bathseba ! You should write to the head office. It sounds awful, but that is the only way they will improve. Equally , inform them of exceptional service ( I have done that too )
Samuraisan...after H+B I went into Costa Coffee, and the service there was the complete opposite! The service was lightening fast, and as the girl was giving me my change she sang out "and how is your day going so far? Are you having a nice afternoon?" Well, I'm totally opposed to what I call the "Americanisation" of customer service, so I sighed + asked her if the staff had been told to ask that. She assured me that wasn't so, and it was entirely her own manner, and that she was just a happy person, + wanted to make everyone she encountered happy also!
Actually she was a lovely jolly lass, and after a couple of minutes we were bezzy mates :) She helped me to carry my bags to a comfy sofa, + told me to stay there and she would bring my coffee + raspberry/white chocolate muffin to my table.
She was actually the manager, and the rest of the staff seemed cheery + happy, so I'm looking forward to seeing Nicola again one day next week!
