As I wrote on the Baldric's thread he thinks the ideal person to replace JC (but he didn't think he should have been sacked) would be Brian Johnson the lead singer from AC/DC, he presents an excellent motoring programme on Quest TV channel called "Cars that Rock" Even I, a non-driver, like it!

Perhaps the format was getting a bit tired, does James May remain? Hammond seems to be the most easily replaceable of the trio, however, the chemistry between any group of three is a difficult balance and it somehow worked; why fix it if it ain't broke?
A huge blunder (and loss of revenue) for the BBC I feel.

I'm not a car enthusiast, but some car shows interest me because of the years of the cars and the presenters personalities. Like Ann,I think Brian Johnston is so watchable, and likeable.,Oon Car S.O.S, Tim and Fuzz are obviously working to the script, but it's still more about the owner and the car. Chris Evans only does CHRIS EVANS!!
i think he'll do well - it will be a car show again, i probably won't watch it for that reason, it will bore me. Chris evans is a good presenter and he'll make his own programme wonder if he could get away with combining tfi & tg... tfitg..
i loved top gear with JC/RH/JM because of their antics, they made me laugh

I did not enjoy watching Top Gear over the past couple of years. I felt it had gone from being a show primarily about cars to a show about car stunts and jaunts with some pretty lame comedy thrown in.
I do not mind the odd stunt or escapade but to have more than one every episode got boring, in the end it was mostly about the presenters than about the cars.
I like Chris Evans and am pleased to see he is fronting the show. In my opinion he will breathe new life into the show and is a real character. I watched TFI last week and enjoyed it very much, I noticed that Jason Plato and Suzi Perry were in the studio audience, may just be co-incidence or perhaps they are the new co presenters?
Finally can anyone advise if JC has ever held any other presenting job apart from Top Gear? Both James May and Richard Hammond have had reasonable success with fronting other shows, but not Jeremy Clarkson. Why would this be? Is it because he is very difficult to work with, to the extent that no one wants to offer him a job? I guess time will tell on that one!
